MONIKA MARK (PRÄSIDENTIN)

Monika was born and raised in the picturesque canton of Graubünden. She is a trained accountant and trustee with additional training in marketing and business administration. She was successfully working for national and international companies in Switzerland and abroad. Monika was a founding partner of an international textile and fashion company in Switzerland and was responsible for marketing and sales. Also worth mentioning is her work as deputy managing director of a trade magazine publishing house. She has been living in Klosters for over 23 years after returning from the USA (study visit to UCSB) and from Mallorca. As a member of the internationally known Rotary Club, she was responsible for a number of charity events including fundraising for various childcare organisations. Monika continues to work in the management of Luchs & Partner AG, an international law firm for patent, trademark and design rights in the heart of Zurich. She has a deep affinity for classical music and is an avid skier.

AMBASSADOR (RET.) MARTIN STRUB
(VIZE-PRÄSIDENT)

Martin (*1959) is a former Swiss ambassador with over 35 years of diplomatic service in the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). After completing his law studies, he undertook diplomatic training in Bern and at the Graduate Institute for Advanced International Studies (IHEID) in Geneva. Since joining the diplomatic service in 1989, he has held numerous positions at the FDFA headquarters and at Swiss missions abroad, including postings in Peru, Austria, India, and the Netherlands. From 2014 to 2017, he served as Swiss Ambassador to Sudan and Eritrea, followed by assignments from 2017 to 2021 as Ambassador to Uruguay and Paraguay, as well as Permanent Observer to the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI). Most recently, from 2021 to 2024, he represented Switzerland as Ambassador to Cameroon, the Central African Republic, and Equatorial Guinea, based in Yaoundé. He retired at the end of 2024. Martin Strub is married and the father of two children. In addition to German, he speaks fluent French, English, Spanish, and Italian. In his free time, he enjoys sports, photography, and travelling.

ANTONIO MACRI (ACCOUNTING)

Antonio is a certified public accountant and fiduciary with a Swiss federal diploma. Born and raised in the canton of Grisons, he combines his local roots with a cosmopolitan perspective shaped by his Italian heritage. is professional career is marked by many years of experience in the fiduciary and audit sectors, particularly in leadership roles at renowned companies in the Grisons region. Since 2008, he has been a partner at Fiduciar Treuhand AG in Chur, where he is responsible for audit, quality assurance, and IT. In addition, since 2011, he has served as CFO of MP Multipack AG in Oftringen, where he oversees finance, accounting, and human resources.
In addition to a federal certificate and a diploma as a chartered accountant, his in-depth training also includes a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in national value added tax (VAT/VAT). In his free time, Antonio is an enthusiastic diver, sportsman and nature lover - whether biking, hiking, cross-country skiing or playing football. 

ANDREAS RIEDI (REVISOR)

Andreas is a Certified Public Accountant and Licensed Audit Expert with deep roots in Chur, Graubünden. As a Partner and Member of the Executive Management at W&P AG, he is responsible for leading complex engagements across Auditing, Advisory, and Corporate Governance. 

His work is defined by a commitment to quality, a strong sense of responsibility, and a nuanced understanding of regional needs. Beyond the firm, Andreas leverages his expertise by serving on several boards, including as a trustee for a retirement and care home and as a board member of a mountain railway.

Outside of work, Andreas enjoys an active lifestyle in nature—cycling during the summer, snowboarding in winter—and values quality time with family and friends. He also has a keen appreciation for fine food and wine and cherishes moments spent with those who matter most.

DANIEL MAHLER (CO-FOUNDER / HONORARY CHAIR)

Daniel is originally from Germany and learned to ski in Klosters in the mid-1970s - he hasn't missed a winter season there since. He has lived in the USA for almost 30 years, most recently as a board member at Estée Lauder in New York. Before that, he was a partner and head at the international management consultancy Kearney USA.

Despite his global career, Klosters has remained a constant anchor for him. He spends every free minute in his newly renovated house in Klosters Platz - ideally together with his two sons, who are also skiing enthusiasts.

Daniel's passions go beyond winter sports: he plays the piano, loves golf and tennis and is a passionate pilot. With licenses for Europe and the USA, he prefers to take off from Wangen-Lachen airfield on Lake Zurich - especially for flights over the Alps. He has officially called Switzerland home since 2020.

HOLLYWOOD ON THE ROCKS – TEAM

EVELYNE AVANTHAY (Event Manager)

Evelyne was born and raised in Champéry, in the canton of Valais, at the heart of the renowned Portes du Soleil ski region. Fascinated by China from an early age, she pursued Mandarin studies alongside her Bachelor's degree in Social and Economic Sciences at the University of Geneva.

To deepen her understanding of the Chinese language and culture, she spent nearly two years studying in Beijing and Taipei. Upon returning to Switzerland, she settled in Zurich, where she founded and managed a contemporary Asian art gallery.

Following the birth of her daughter, Evelyne transitioned into diverse project management, building more than 15 years of experience leading projects in the medical sector.

Outside of work, Evelyne enjoys skiing (with Monika !), playing golf, has an eye for interior aesthetics, and exploring restaurants—while happily admitting that cooking is not one of her talents. She also cherishes returning to her hometown of Champéry to spend time with family and reconnect with the mountains where she grew up.

 

HEATHER CONNOR (COMMUNICATION)

Heather grew up in New Zealand and has made Switzerland her home for many years. With an international career spanning Europe, the UK and New Zealand, she has worked with organisations across financial services, healthcare, energy and the public sector, with a focus on helping people connect, collaborate and navigate change successfully.

Now based in Klosters, Heather combines her professional communications experience with a strong commitment to community and charitable initiatives. As Communications Lead on the Board of GreenLamp, a Swiss NGO, she supports projects that improve opportunities for women and families in rural Ethiopia, helping the organisation communicate their purpose and impact more effectively.

Heather loves both the international spirit of Klosters and the welcoming local community, who connect to bring people together through culture, music and sporting events. In her free time, she can usually be found on the ski slopes and hiking trails, in her picture framing studio or enjoying time with family and friends in the mountains.

STEFAN NIGG (SPONSORING)

Stefan holds a degree in business administration (FH), is a certified public accountant, and is a licensed audit expert. He has lived in the canton of Grisons for over 25 years, having grown up on the cantonal border near Bad Ragaz (SG). He has more than 25 years of professional experience in auditing, financial control, and compliance.

As of December 2025, he will be working as an auditor for three fiduciary and auditing companies based in Chur and Pfäffikon SZ. Previously, he headed the financial control office of the City of Chur from 2013 to 2025. From 2007 to 2013, he worked as an mandate manager, auditor, and business economist at the financial control office of the Canton of Grisons. He began his career after completing his business studies 2001 at KPMG (Liechtenstein) AG in Schaan, where he rose from Assistant to Manager until 2007.

In his spare time, he serves as a member and chairman of the Audit Committee of the public-law institution GEVAG and was Vice President of the Supervisory Board of Raiffeisenbank Sarganserland for over 11 years. He served as an officer in the Swiss Army, ultimately with the rank of captain.

In his private life, Stefan enjoys spending time with family and friends, is a gifted sailor and skier, rides mountain bikes, plays golf, and enjoys cooking.

CLAUDIA&STEPHAN STREULE-GMUER (ADMINISTRATION)

Claudia&Stephan, a recently retired couple of teachers from picturesque Appenzell, are closely rooted in local traditions, customs, and cultural heritage.

With decades of professional experience, they combine practical expertise with a joyful spirit of creativity. Their work spans writing, calligraphy, the thoughtful design of cards, websites, posters, flyers, and presentations, as well as the planning and organization of diverse events – all with heartfelt care and attention to detail.

Together, they make a perfectly balanced dream team. In their leisure time, they relish the outdoors, keep fit through sports, and share a passion for reading, music, and traveling.

Most importantly, they are devoted to family – time with their loved ones means the world to them.

MAYA MARBURGER (ADVISORY)

Successful entrepreneur with passion, strong sales expertise, and a high level of customer orientation. A talented networker, proactive in building and maintaining sustainable relationships, which has developed into one of my greatest strengths over the past years and decades. An organizational talent for both large and small corporate events; through various organizations, including the Zurich Film Festival and 100women@Davos, I regularly organize major events for clients, sponsors, dealers, and partner companies. In addition, I organize and host panel discussions and moderations across various fields.

ALEONORA BRINER (HOSPITALITY)

Aleonora was born in Montreal and grew up in Switzerland, with deep family roots in Klosters dating back to 1928.

She completed her studies at New York University and went on to work in marketing, advertising, and public relations, including a role with Patek Philippe. She also spent several years organizing events in Klosters as part of the World Economic Forum.

As an active member of the local community, she has been organizing an annual gathering for over 15 years, bringing families together and fostering an international network for the younger generation.

Aleonora is fluent in French, English, and Italian, and also speaks Spanish and German at a good level. She is an avid skier and has a strong interest in ballet, opera, and hospitality.

TAMARA SEDMAK (MODERATION)

Tamara is a well-known journalist, event, and television presenter in Switzerland, Germany, and the United States. For over 20 years, she has hosted a wide range of TV formats across networks such as Sat.1, n-tv, FIFA TV, Sky, Sport1, SRF, Radio Energy, Blick newspaper, and Beauty Independent New York, as well as numerous live events in the fields of IT, automotive, business, travel, beauty, health, and pharmaceuticals. In Germany, she first gained public recognition as a weather presenter on Sat.1 and later established herself as a film expert on Premiere/Sky. She currently appears daily on Swiss television channels 4+, 5+, and 6+ as part of the home shopping network PremiumShoppingTV, and is also featured on Channel21 (formerly RTL Shop).

She completed her academic education in 2002 with a Magister Artium (MA) degree in Journalism (Publizistik), Business Administration, and Neuropsychology at the University of Zurich. Alongside her studies, she invested several years in professional training in moderation and voice coaching, building the foundation for her later career in television presenting, live hosting, and media communication across international markets.

For the past 10 years, she has been working as an entrepreneur in B2B marketing, building and expanding the platform and event portfolio of Beauty Independent in New York and London. In this role, she connects cosmetics brands, investors, and retailers, and designs high-level industry gatherings, including Dealmaker, C-Suite, and Tech & AI Summits that bring together key decision-makers across the beauty and innovation sectors.
